About Woody Paige
Woody Paige is one of the best-known sports journalists in America. Paige is a columnist for The Denver Post and a contributor to ESPN’s Around the Horn. For two years, he also was a co-host of the ESPN 2 program Cold Pizza. Paige and Skip Bayless gained recognition from their “1st and 10” debate segments on the show. On Around the Horn, he is the all-time winner of the debate show, racking up nearly 500 victories. His journalism position has landed him votes for the Baseball Hall of Fame and the Pro Football Hall of Fame Selection Committee. He has authored three books in his career. Paige gained sports media acclaim in Denver, where he started at The Post in 1981. He also worked at the Whitehaven Press, Knoxville Journal, The Memphis Commercial Appeal, and the Rocky Mountain News. Paige, a Memphis native, is a graduate of the University of Tennessee.
