About Ron Baker
Ron Baker is one of the greatest players in the history of Wichita State basketball. Baker was named to three first-team All-Missouri Valley Conference squads. Amazingly, he led the Shockers on an unprecedented run despite originally being a walk-on. Wichita State won three conference titles and made four trips to the NCAA Tournament during Baker's career. During his sophomore campaign, the Shockers set a new national record with 35 straight wins. Baker made a trip to Sweet Sixteen that season after a Final Four trip as a freshman. Hefinished his career ranked in the top ten in school history in points, assists and steals. Baker was not selected in the 2016 NBA Draft, but was picked up by the New York Knicks to compete on their NBA Summer League squad.
