About Mike Fisher
Mike Fisher was born and raised in Ontario, Canada and grew up playing amateur hockey in the Peterborough Minor Hockey Association. In 1997 he was selected by the Sudbury Wolves in the second round of the OHL Priority Draft, and was then selected in the second round of the 1998 NHL Draft by the Ottawa Senators after scoring 49 points in 66 games with the Wolves. During his first 11 seasons in the league he was one of the Senators most consistent goal scorers, and then continued to perform after joining the Nashville Predators in 2010. In his 18 year NHL career he scored 278 goals and added 311 assists and led his Predators to the 2017 Stanley Cups Finals. Perhaps one of his most cherished accomplishments came in 2010 when he married the love of his life, superstar country music singer, Carrie Underwood. The two had their first child in 2015.
