About Angela Ruggiero
Angela Ruggiero is one of America’s most successful hockey players, medaling in four straight Winter Olympics with Team USA. Ruggiero was the first women to play a position on the ice other than goalie in a men’s professional league. She suited up in 2005 along with her brother for the Tulsa Oilers in the Central Hockey League. Ruggiero won four gold medals and six silver medals at the World Championships during her career. She retired from hockey competition in 2011. Ruggiero was selected as one of only three Americans to be a member of the International Olympic Committee. She graduated cum laude from Harvard with a degree in government. Her impressive credentials helped land Ruggiero a spot on the sixth season of The Apprentice, where Donald Trump offered her a job. Ruggiero’s memoir is titled “Breaking The Ice” in reference to her many trailblazing accomplishments. She currently works for Bridgewater Associates and is the President of the Women’s Sports Foundation.
