About Amanda Kessel
Amanda Kessel hales from a hockey family and has put that collective experience to good use. Kessel is an active member of Team USA and won a silver medal with the squad at the 2014 Winter Olympics while tying for the team lead in points. At the World Championships, she has also been on squads that have won a gold and silver. Kessel was a star for three seasons at the University of Minnesota and won the Patty Kazmaier Award as the top women’s college hockey player in 2013. That season, the Golden Gophers finishes 41-0 and won their fifth national championship. In the years to follow, she is poised to even have a bigger impact on the international stage. Her brother Phil is a star n the NHL for the Toronto Maple Leafs and another brother Blake is also a professional hockey player.
