About Gigi Marvin
Gigi Marvin is a player for the United States women's national hockey team. She reached the pinnacle of her career as a member of the Team USA squad that won the country's first gold medal in 20 years at the 2018 Winter Olympics. Marvin has also been part of silver medal-winning squads at the 2010 and 2014 Olympics. She has been a member of five gold medal-winning teams at the World Championships. Marvin plays professionally for the Boston Pride of the National Women's Hockey League. She won the 2016 NWHL Defensive Player of the Year Award. Marvin played college hockey at the University of Minnesota and finished her career ranked sixth on the program's scoring charts with 195 points. In her freshman year, she helped lead the Gophers to the WCHA Championship game and was named WCHA Rookie of Year. She was twice named first-team All-WCHA. Marvin is the granddaughter of United States Hockey Hall of Fame coach, Cal Marvin.
