About Kemba Walker
Kemba Walker’s impact on the teams he plays on is undeniable. Walker currently plays for the New York Mets. He developed into an All-Star caliber player in Charlotte and helped the Hornets return to the playoffs in 2014.Overall, he was selected to three All-Star teams with the Hornets and made the All-NBA Third Team in 2019. In each of his first two seasons, he was selected to participate in the Rising Stars Challenge.Walker’s penchant for raising his game in big moments first became evident when he was a college star at UConn. He had an unbelievable 2011 season and carried the Huskies through the NCAA Tournament to the school’s third title. For his efforts, Walker was named the Most Outstanding Player of the tournament.He had led the nation in scoring during the season, winning consensus All-American honors.The Bronx, New York native was one of the top prospects in the country while at Rice High School in Harlem.With his stellar play in the NBA, Walker continues a great tradition of New York point guards succeeding at the highest level.
