About Jose Iglesias
Jose Iglesias is revered for his leadership in the clubhouse and ability to play across the infield. Iglesias originally came up as one of the top prospects in baseball with the Boston Red Sox in 2011. His first full major league season was in 2013, where he split time between the Red Sox and Detroit Tigers, finishing running up for the American League Rookie of the Year.
In 2015, Iglesias was named an All-Star while with the Tigers. He stayed in Detroit through the 2018 season before playing with several different franchises.
Iglesias had a career resurgence with the New York Mets in 2024, hitting .337 over 85 games. The Mets posted baseball's best record during the stint he was with the team. He even recorded a hit song "OMG" that became the team's rallying cry and finished the regular season on a 22-game hitting streak.
