About Andruw Jones
Andruw Jones is one of the greatest defensive center fielders in baseball history. He won ten Gold Gloves during his 17 year career with the Atlanta Braves, Los Angeles Dodgers, Texas Rangers, Chicago White Sox, and New York Yankees. Also a prolific home run hitter, Jones hit 434 long balls in his career. He burst onto the scene in 1996, becoming the youngest player ever to hit a home run in the World Series when he homered in his first two Fall Classic at-bats. Jones made five All-Star teams, all with the Braves. Perhaps his best season in Atlanta was 2005, where he led the National League with 51 homers and 128 RBIs. Jones is a native of the island of Curacao. As a result, he played for the Netherlands in the World Baseball Classic in both 2006 and 2013. Since 2013, he has played in Japan for the Tohuko Rakuten Golden Eagles.
