About Andre Ethier
A two-time All-Star, Andre Ethier played his entire major league career with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Ethier also won a Gold Glove in 2011 and a Silver Slugger Award in 2009. His best season was undoubtedly 2009. Besides the 31 home runs and 106 RBIs, Ethier had a flare for the dramatic. He had six walk off hits, the most in MLB since 1974. The four walk off homeruns tied a league record. The following season, Ethier was elected to start the All-Star game after a hot start that saw him lead the National League in every Triple Crown category through mid-May. His 30 game hitting streak in 2011 was the second longest in Dodger history. Ethier has been a model of consistency throughout his career. He was originally drafted out of Arizona State in the second round of the 2003 MLB Draft. When he originally enrolled in Tempe, coaches said he was not a Division 1 talent. Ethier proved them wrong, transferring to junior college, but eventually making it back to the Sun Devils, where he became a two-time All-Pac 10 pick.
