About Ed O'Bannon
Ed O'Bannon was first known for being one of the best college basketball players. O'Bannon was a three-time first-team All-Pac 10 selection. In his final year, he won several national player of the year awards and led the UCLA Bruins to the NCAA title. For his efforts, O'Bannon was named Most Outstanding Player of the Fnal Four. He went on to be the ninth overall pick in the 1995 NBA Draft, but only spent two seasons in the league, O'Bannon did play eight more years overseas. O'Bannon has since become better known as a powerful advocate for student-athlete rights. He was the lead plaintiff in the antitrust class action lawsuit, O'Bannon vs. NCAA. O'Bannon shared more about his legal battle in his book, "NCAA, Court Justice: The inside Story of My Battle with the NCAA."
