About Ahmad Rashad
Ahmad Rashad is an American-born sportscaster who is most widely known for his role as an sports anchor for NBA sports. Ahmad had an aptitude for football and pursued a career in the sport by starting at the University of Oregon. After playing wide receiver, he was moved to Running Back where he earned all-American honors. In 1972 he was selected by the St. Louis Cardinals and immediately made the UPI All-Rookie team in his first year. Throughout his career in the league, he was selected to the pro bowl four times, and was the pro bowl MVP once as well as being listed to the “50 Greatest Vikings” list. Following a fantastic career in football, he looked to utilize the education he earned at Oregon and signed on with NBC to cover the NFL, NBA and MLB. His career has taken him all around the world of sports and he even graced the golfing world with his broadcasting talents in 2013.
