About Devin Haney
The American boxer Devin Haney stands out for his technical boxing abilities and defensive skills and his undefeated professional record. Devin Haney entered the world on November 17, 1998, in San Francisco, California before moving to Las Vegas with his father at age 14 to start his boxing career at age seven. He achieved rapid success in amateur competition by winning seven national titles while compiling 130 victories against 8 defeats. At age 14 Haney became the youngest member of the USA Junior National Boxing Team before winning gold in the Dominican Republic and a bronze medal in Russia.
After turning professional in 2015 Haney achieved fame as a teenager when he became the youngest fighter to compete at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The WBC lightweight title went to Haney in October 2019 after Lomachenko received his "Franchise Champion" promotion. Haney defended his title against three opponents including Jorge Linares Joseph Diaz Jr. and Yuriorkis Gamboa. Haney defeated George Kambosos Jr. in Melbourne during June 2022 to earn the first four-belt undisputed lightweight championship of the new era.
Haney transitioned to the super lightweight division in December 2023 where he defeated Regis Prograis to claim the WBC title while achieving two-division world champion status. The April 2024 fight between Haney and Ryan Garcia ended in a no contest because Garcia tested positive for the banned substance ostarine. Haney maintains an undefeated record in 2025 with 32 wins and 0 losses and 1 no contest while achieving 15 knockouts.
