About Don King
Don King is a professional boxing promoter with one of the most impressive resumes of all-time. During his legendary career he promoted some of the most popular athletes in the world, including Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, and George Foreman. The two fights that he is most well known for are “The Rumble in the Jungle and “Thrilla in Manila”. King is known for his fearless wit in promoting his clients, and also for his crazy hairstyle and personality that he used to draw attention to everything involving his client’s upcoming fights. Throughout his career he was also a prominent figure in the entertainment industry, appearing in several popular movies and video games along with making appearances on hit radio shows. In 1997 King’s life was chronicled in the made-forTV movie, Don King: Only in America on HBO. The movie won a Golden Globe, which is a tribute to his life and accomplishments in the sport boxing.
