About Demetrius Andrade
Demetrius Andrade, also known as “Boo Boo” in the boxing world, is the pride of Providence, Rhode Island and is considered to be the best amateur boxing champion in Rhode Island history. Born a fighter, he began boxing at the age of six and went on to capture the United States Amateur Boxing Championship in 2005 at the age of 17. The following year he defended his crown and also won the first of his consecutive National Gold Gloves championships. In 2007 Andrade earned a gold medal at the World Championships in Chicago in the Welterweight division and also won silver at the Pan American Games. Since turning pro in 2008 he has posted an undefeated 21-0 record with 14 knockouts and captured the World Boxing Organization Light Middleweight Championship in 2013. In 2014 he successfully defended his WBO Championship against a top competitor from Great Britain and continues to train to maintain his unblemished record.
