About Frank Bruno
Frank Bruno is a former professional boxer who was known for his good punch power and for winning the WBC heavyweight championship in 1995. Bruno’s professional boxing career began in 1982 where he quickly racked up 21 consecutive wins by knockout. He won the European heavyweight title by a knockout over Anders Eklund. Out of 45 total fights, Bruno won 40 and 38 of them were due to knockouts and he only lost 5 fights. Bruno had a 95% knockout rate over the fights he won and his overall knockout percentage was 84.44%. After retiring, Bruno was still very popular with the British public. In 1991, Bruno opened “The Lighter,” which was the longest roller coaster in the world at the time. Bruno was one of many celebrities who were recorded in the 2006 World Cup song, “Who Do You Think You Are Kidding Jurgen Kinsmann?” On July 2013, Bruno was featured in the documentary Rachel Bruno: My Dad and Me. He is a mental health advocate.
