About Bernard Hopkins
Bernard Hopkins posted a career record of 55-7 in the Middleweight, Super Middleweight and Light Heavyweight divisions from 1988 to 2014. Hopkins got his start in boxing while serving 18 years in a federal state prison in Pennsylvania. After serving five years he was released and embarked on a successful career in professional boxing. Immensely talented and smart in the ring, Hopkins quickly earned notoriety on the amateur circuit, winning 21 of his first 22 fights with 17 knockouts in route to earning the USBA Middleweight title. He went on to win his next 25 fights and win the IBC, WBC, WBO, WBA and the Ring Middleweight titles along the way. In 2007 he made the jump to Light Heavyweight and won IBO and The Ring Light Heavyweight titles. He’d go on to win the IBC, WBC, WBA and IBF Light Heavyweight titles over the next seven years before his retirement in 2014. Hopkins is one of the most decorated champions in history, and a true inspiration to all those who wish to turn their life around and become successful.
