About Felix Trinidad
Felix Trinidad Jr. is a retired Puerto Rican professional boxer who is considered to be one of the best in Puerto Rican history. Trinidad won five National Amateur Championships in Puerto Rico and he then debuted as a professional at age 17. During his debut fight on March 10, 1990, Trinidad fought Angel Romero and won in the second round due to a knockout. The beginning of his career took off as he knocked out 9 of his first 10 opponents. In 1993, Trinidad defeated the IBF welterweight champion in two rounds in a fight card. In 2000, Trinidad moved from the welterweight division to the light middleweight division. Trinidad announced retirement in 2002 and came back in 2004. His first fight back from retirement was against Ricardo Mayorga, who he defeated in the eighth round. Trinidad again announced retirement in 2005, but only temporarily. His second come back occurred on January 19, 2008 against Roy Jones. In 2009, Trinidad announced his final retirement.
