About Brandon Kintzler
Brandon Kintzler had a long journey to the top of his profession. He was named an All-Star for the first time in his eighth major league season in 2017. Kintzler originally debuted with the Milwaukee Brewers in 2010 and spent parts of six seasons pitching out of the bullpen for the club. He had a breakout campaign in 2013, serving as the Brewers primary setup man and posting a 2.69 ERA in 71 appearances. Kintzler signed with the Twins in 2016 and became the team's closer during the season. He posted 24 saves and a 2.29 ERA over baseball's first half in 2017 to be named an All-Star. Kintzer was originally selected by the San Diego Padres in the 40th round of the 2004 MLB Draft. He had struggles to begin his career and took the season off in 2006 before working his way back through the Independent Leagues.
