About Will Claye
Will Claye is an American track and field athlete and a two-time Olympic medalist. In 2012, Claye won silver in the triple jump and bronze in the long jump at the London Olympics. No man had won medals in both events at the same Olympics since 1936. He is also a two-time bronze medalist in the triple jump at the World Championships. At the 2012 World Indoor Championships, Claye took home the triple jump gold medal. He split his college track career between Oklahoma and Florida. While with the Sooners, Claye took first in the triple jump at the 2009 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship. He transferred to Florida for his junior season. In his senior year, Claye won the indoor triple jump again while the Gators were Indoor National Champions. He finished as an eight time All-American in college. Claye is originally from Tucson, Arizona, but both of his parents are from Sierra Leone.
