About Wes Unseld Jr.
Wes Unseld Jr. has had his personal and professional life come full circle as the head coach and now a front office advisor with the Washington Wizards. Unseld's father is a Basketball Hall of Famer and arguably the greatest player in franchise history. The younger Unseld also began his coaching career as an assistant in Washington from 2005-2011. He joined the organization originally as a personnel scout after playing at Johns Hopkins. Unseld also served in assistant coaching roles with the Golden State Warriors, Orlando Magic, and Denver Nuggets before being named a head coach. He particularly gained acclaim while in Denver for developing young players like Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr.
