About Bo Ryan
Prior to his successful coaching career, Bo Ryan was a player. He got started at a young age and in high school he led his team to a 25-1 record in his senior year. Then Bo went on to play in college for Wilkes University as the star point guard. Bo loved the game and wanted to stay involved after school so he became a coach. His career began in 1972, and his first head coaching opportunity came in 1984, where he guided the Wisconsin-Platteville Pioneers to four national championships and eight conference championships with a 352-76 record. Since 2001 Bo has been the head coach of the University of Wisconsin squad. There he has led the team to two Big Ten Tournament Championships, three Big Ten Regular Season Championships and a Final Four appearance. Bo himself has won the Clair Bee Coach of the Year award as well as the Big Ten Coach of the Year Award three times.
