About Billy Donovan
Billy Donovan is the head coach of the Chicago Bullls after a successful run with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Donovan made five playoff trips in five years and won 243 games with the Thunder. Prior to jumping to the pros, he was the winningest coach in the history of the Florida Gators basketball program. He led the University of Florida squad to the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship in 2006 and 2007 and has been a part of more NCAA tournament appearances and more Southeastern Conference regular season and tournament championships than every other coach in program history combined. Before his coaching career, Billy was a player at Providence College and was even drafted to play in the NBA. After a short career playing, Billy left the game to become a stock broker but quickly grew tired of the position. After a stent with Kentucky and Marshall, Billy landed the job at Florida where he soon became one of only four men to appear in the NCAA Final Four as a player and win the NCAA National Championship as a coach.
