About Victor Hedman
Victor Hedman is one of the top stars for the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Lightning originally selected him second overall in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. He gained a great reputation while playing juniors in Sweden. Hedman made his NHL debut in 2009 and quickly gained a reputation as one of the top scoring defensemen in the league. He helped Tampa Bay reach the Stanley Cup Final in 2015 while setting team playoff records for points and assists by a defensemen. A year later, he broke the Lightning record for career postseason games. Hedman also holds franchise records for regular season assists and points by a defensemen. He was named to his first NHL All-Star Game in 2017. Hedman has competed for Sweden on the international stage since 2007. Most recently he represented the team as they won bronze at the 2016 World Cup of Hockey.
