About Vicki Golden
Vicki Golden grew up around the sport of Motocross and decided to follow in her brother and fathers footsteps and gave the sport a try for herself. As a junior, there was rarely enough girls to fill an entire race class so she frequently raced against the boys in her age division. In 2008, at the age of 16, Goldens career took off when she won the Womens Amateur National Championship. The following year, she turned professional and was awarded TransWorld Motocross Magazines Female Motocross Rookie of the Year. Since then, Golden has won 3 consecutive X Games gold medals for the Womens Moto X Racing event (2011-2013) and in 2014 was nominated for an ESPY Award for Best Female Action Sports Athlete. Golden has been a pioneer for women in the male-dominated sport by becoming the first female to break into the top 10 in AMA Arena Cross Lites and by becoming the first female to qualify for AMA Arena Cross Premier class.
