About Valentino Rossi
Following in his fathers footsteps into motorcycle racing, Valentino Rossi is one of the most successful riders of all time. Entering the professional racing industry in 1996, it took Rossi only one year to win his very first World Championship in the 125cc category. After moving up to the 250cc category, Rossi was again crowned World Champion after one year of competing. In 2000, Rossi entered the premier class by running in the 500cc category where he won his first World Championship in 2001 and went on to win the MotoGP World Championships from 2002-2005 and another 2 in 2008 & 2009. All together, Rossi has won 9 Grand Prix World Championships and sits in first on the list of all time MotoGP wins with 82 victories. In all categories of professional motorcycle racing, Rossi has the second most wins all time with 108 victories.
