About Tom Tolbert
Tom Tolbert spent his college basketball career moving around to different schools, playing for UC Irvine, Cerritos College, and finally the University of Arizona where he helped the Wildcats to reach the 1988 Final Four. Following his collegiate career he spent 7 seasons in the NBA playing for 4 different teams and amassing over 2,000 points and 1,200 rebounds. After his playing career ended, Tolbert began a career in broadcasting as a local radio broadcaster in San Francisco. Tolbert then worked as a color commentator for NBCs basketball coverage for several years where in 2002 he was nominated for an Emmy. He also worked for ESPN in the same capacity from 2002-2007 and in 2003 was selected to cover the NBA Finals for ABC.
