About Steve Novak
Currently, you can find Steve Novak on the court playing for the Utah Jazz in the National Basketball Association. Standing at 6’10”, Novak plays as a forward in the NBA. Born in Libertyville, Illinois in 1983, Novak grew up playing basketball all his life and attended Brown Deer high school in Wisconsin, where he earned four varsity letters and was named the Wisconsin High School Boys’ Basketball Player of the Year. Succeeding high school, Novak attended Marquette University in 2002 and received playing time in all 33 games his rookie season. As a freshman, he shot 50.5% from the three-point line and also went on to play in the Final Four. Novak’s college highlights include a 41-point, 16-rebound game defeating UConn and a game-winning 18-foot jumper with 1.1 seconds left on the clock against Notre Dame. In 2006, Novak won the ESPN college three-point shooting contest in Indianapolis and went on to be selected as the second pick in the second round of the NBA Draft by the Houston Rockets. One of Novak’s most outstanding accomplishments to date is being the 2011-2012 season leader in three point percentage for the NBA.
