About Shane van Gibergen
Shane van Gisbergen, nicknamed “SVG”, is a Kiwi professional racing driver and widely regarded as one of the most versatile and talented drivers of his generation. He rose to prominence in Australia's Supercars Championship, where he became a three-time champion (2016, 2021, 2022), driving for Triple Eight Race Engineering. He secured 80 race wins, 46 poles, and three Bathurst 1000 victories (2020, 2022, 2023), cementing his status as a Supercars legend. He also excelled in GT racing, winning the Bathurst 12 Hour and posting strong results at Daytona. In 2023, he transitioned to NASCAR, driving the No. 97 Chevrolet for Trackhouse Racing in the Cup Series. He made history by winning his debut race at the Chicago Street Course and has since added multiple road-course victories, including wins in Mexico City and at the Charlotte Roval. Known for his aggressive style and adaptability, the pioneering New Zealander continues to impress in American stock car racing.
