About Scott Niedermayer
Scott Niedermayer played 18 seasons in the NHL from 1991 to 2010 after being selected by the New Jersey Devils with the 3rd overall pick in the 1991 NHL Draft. During his career he played over 1,000 games for the New Jersey Devils and Anaheim Ducks and was a member of four Stanley Cup championship teams. His personal accolades include winning the James Norris Memorial Trophy in 2004 as the NHL’s top defenseman, earning the Conn Smythe Trophy in 2007 as the playoff MVP and being named a five-time NHL All-Star. In addition to his time in the NHL he competed on the Canadian National Team and led his country to Gold Medals in both the 2002 Salt Lake City and 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic games. He was also a member of the Canadian 1996 and 2004 World Cup of Hockey championship teams. Over the course of his career he scored 172 goals and posted 568 assists for 740 total points in 1,263 games.
