About Scott Gordon
Scott Gordon was a professional goalie that transitioned into the coaching ranks upon retirement. Gordon was the head coach of the New York Islanders for parts of three seasons before becoming an assistant coach with the Toronto Maple Leafs. He earned his jobs with a successful run coaching the American Hockey League’s Providence Bruins. As a player, he spent time in both the minors and for the Quebec Nordiques. Following his final professional season with the Atlanta Knights, Gordon started his coaching career as an assistant on their staff. He played collegiately at Boston College and went to the NCAA Tournament three times with the Eagles. The Massachusetts native also had experience playing for Team USA in the early 1990s.
