About Rhett Lashlee
Rhett Lashlee is a rising star in the coaching profession in his first job as a head coach with the SMU Mustangs. Lashlee came to Dallas in 2021 after a two-year run as the offensive coordinator at Miami. He had previously been the SMU OC for two seasons. Lashlee is best known for his association with Gus Malzahn, who he played for in high school and later coached under at Auburn. At Springdale High School, he compiled a state-record 40 wins as a quarterback and captured two state titles. He also played quarterback in college at Arkansas.
