Reggie Theus

Reggie Theus’ playing career began in college at UNLV where he averaged 12.9 points, 4.4 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game. In just 91 games he became one of the best players in program history with nearly 2,000 points, and he shot 81 percent from the free throw line. After success in college came the NBA where Theus was selected as the 9th overall pick in the 1978 NBA Draft. Throughout his career he amassed 19,015 points, 3,349 rebounds, and 6,453 assists. Those numbers propelled Reggie to become two time All-Star and he even made the NBA All-Rookie First Team. After retiring from playing and spending a decade away from the game Reggie came back as a coach. In his first season as a coach he recorded the 5th best turnaround of a Division I team for the New Mexico State Aggies. He later led teams to the NCAA tournament and other conference titles, and is currently the coach at Cal State Northridge.
