About Randy Wittman
Randy Wittman has guided a young Washington Wizards team on a path of success. Wittman got the Wizards past the first round of the playoffs in 2014 for just the third time since 1979. He has been instrumental in the development of one of the best NBA backcourts, featuring John Wall and Bradley Beal. Wittman also spent two years as head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers and three seasons with the Minnesota Timberwolves. He is an NBA lifer, serving as an assistant coach as well for five different teams upon his retirement as a player. The Washington Bullets originally selected Wittman in the first round of the 1983 NBA Draft. He spent the majority of his career with the Atlanta Hawks. Wittman played collegiately at Indiana. He won three Big 10 titles and a national title as a sophomore with the Hoosiers. As a senior, he was Big 10 Player of the Year and the team went to the Sweet Sixteen. Wittman is a member of the Indiana Hall of Fame.
