Randy Gradishar Biography

Randy Gradishar is a former NFL linebacker. He got his start in high school where he lettered all three years he played in both football and basketball. In college Randy shined as one of the best linebackers of the time while playing for the Ohio State University, and was even regarded as the best linebacker his coach Woody Hayes ever coached. With two Big Ten Conference championships, Randy became a two time First-Team selection before being drafted in the 1974 NFL Draft as the 14th overall pick. Playing for the Denver Broncos his entire career he became the 1978 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, a two time Broncos MVP, and a 7 time Pro Bowl selection by recording 2,049 career tackles which is an NFL all time record. Randy has also had the prestigious honor of being inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. Since retirement Randy has gotten involved in giving back by being a part of several charitable organizations and making trips to the middle east to visit troops.
