About Randy Gradishar
Randy Gradishar is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2024. As a former linebacker for the Denver Broncos, Gradishar anchored the famed "Orange Crush Defense" from 1974-83. He helped Denver reach their first Super Bowl in 1977 and was named NFL Defensive Player of the Year the following season. A seven-time Pro Bowler, Gradishar is the Broncos' all-time leader with 2,049 career tackles.
Before Denver selected him with the 14th overall pick in the 1974 NFL Draft, Gradishar built a legacy as one of the greatest defensive players in Ohio State history. He was a three-time All-Big Ten pick and two-time All-American who finished sixth in voting for the Heisman Trophy in 1973. His illustrious Buckeyes career also garnered him induction into the College Football Hall of Fame.
In retirement, Gradishar has been involved in several charitable and faith-based initiatives in the Denver area, including serving as the President of the Broncos Youth Foundation from 1984-92. He is also passionate about veteran affairs and has made several trips overseas to visit the troops. Gradishar has been a Corporate Communications Ambassador for Phil Long Dealerships in the Denver area since 1997.
