About Miles Simon
Miles Simon is a former Arizona Wildcats basketball legend, coach, and current college basketball announcer for ESPN. Raised in California, he starred at the University of Arizona (1994–1998), forming a dynamic backcourt with Mike Bibby. Simon led the Wildcats to the 1997 NCAA national championship, earning Final Four Most Outstanding Player honors after scoring 54 points in the final two games against three No. 1 seeds. He was a consensus first-team All-American in 1998, with his No. 34 jersey later retired by Arizona. Drafted 42nd overall by the Orlando Magic in 1998, he played briefly in the NBA before a pro career in the CBA and overseas in Europe. He coached at Arizona (2005–2008), served as an NBA assistant with the Lakers, Suns, and Heat, and has called games for ESPN since 2010.
