About Mike Richter
Mike Richter played 15 seasons in the NHL with the New York Rangers as a Goaltender after being selected in the first round of the 1985 NHL Entry Draft. During his NHL career he tallied a 301-258-73 record in 666 career games with 24 shutouts and a 90.4 save percentage. He also notched 41 playoff wins and 9 career postseason shutouts in route to helping his team to a Stanley Cup Championship in 1994. He also represented the United States on the USA National Team and helped his country to a silver medal at the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympic games. His additional accomplishments include being named to the NHL All-Star team in 1992 and 1994 and helping the United Stats to a Gold Medal at the 1996 World Cup of Hockey. In 2008 Richter took his rightful place in the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame.
