About Jari Kurri
Jari Kurri played 21 seasons in the NHL from 1977 to 1998. A Finland native, Kurri scored 601 goals, recorded 797 assists and posted 1,398 points during his career with the Edmonton Oilers, Los Angeles Kings, New York Rangers, Mighty Ducks and Colorado Avalanche. His best years came from 1984 to 1986 in which he scored 139 goals and posted career highs in assists in consecutive years. As a member of the Finnish national team he led his team to a bronze medal in the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics and a silver medal in the 1994 World Championships. After his retirement from playing he went on to manage the Finnish national team for many years before landing his current position as the General Manager for Jokerit in the KHL. In 2001 he was honored with induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
