About Mike Moustakas
Mike Moustakas is an All-Star third baseman for the Los Angeles Angels of Major League Baseball. He was originally drafted second overall in the 2007 Major League Baseball Draft by the Royals after a ballyhooed amateur career at Chatsworth High School in Los Angeles, where he was named High School Player of the Year by Baseball America. Moustakas broke through with the Royals in 2011 and developed into a two-time All-Star for the ballclub. He was a key cog in the Royals back-to-back World Series runs and their win in the 2015 Fall Classic. After an awful injury-plagued 2016, Moustakas bounced back to hit 38 home runs to win American League Comeback Player of the Year in 2017.
During the 2018 campaign, Moustakas was traded to the Milwaukee Brewers. He would make his third All-Star team in 2019. Moustakas has subsequently spent time with the Cincinnati Reds, Colorado Rockies and, currently, the Angels.
