About Mickael Pietrus
Mickael Pietrus played ten seasons in the NBA with the Golden State Warriors, Orlando Magic, Phoenix Suns, Boston Celtics and Toronto Raptors from 2003 to 2013. Pietrus is a native of Guadeloupe, France and played professionally in France from 1999 to 2003 with Pau-Orthez, leading his team to two French Championships in 2001 and 2003. He also played for the French national team during his time in the NBA and led his team to a bronze medal in the 2005 European Championship. In 2003 he joined the Golden State Warriors after being selected in the 1st round with the 11th overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft. During his decade long NBA career he averaged 8.3 points per game and was a valuable contributor off the bench for the Warriors, Magic, Suns, Celtics and Raptors. In 2007 he posted a career high 11.1 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. During his career fans, teammates and coaches knew him as Air France, Puma and MP.
