Amare Stoudemire

Amar’e Stoudemire was a six-time NBA All-Star that played his 13-year career with the Phoenix Suns, New York Knicks, and Dallas Mavericks. Stoudemire was named to the All-NBA first or second teams five times. His teams made the playoffs eight times and twice he helped take the Suns to the Western Conference Finals. Following his successful run in the Valley of the Sun, Stoudemire signed a five year, $99 million free agent contract with the Knicks. He has many interests outside of basketball and was the player representative for the club for labor talks during the 2011 lockout. Stoudemire has started a record label, clothing line, a series of children’s books, and has acted in various projects. In 2013, he purchased a large ownership stake in the Hapoel Jerusalem Basketball Club. Stoudemire started the Each 1, Teach 1 Foundation in 2003 and received the NBA’s Community Assist Award for his efforts in 2008. He grew up in Lake Wales, Florida and was Mr. Florida Basketball coming out of high school in 2001.
