About Michael Finley
Two-time All-Star Michael Finley gained great notoriety while aiding the rise of the Dallas Mavericks. Finley played his first season with the Phoenix Suns and finished third in Rookie of the Year voting before being traded in a package for Jason Kidd. Later in his career, Finley played a vital bench role for the San Antonio Spurs. He won his first title in 2007 with the Spurs in his 12th season. Overall, Finley took ten trips to the postseason, including a run to the 2010 NBA Finals with the Boston Celtics in his last year. The Suns made him the 21st overall pick out of Wisconsin in the 1995 NBA Draft. When he left the Badgers, Finley held the school’s all-time scoring record for 11 years. He grew up in the Chicago suburbs and won a 2A state title at Proviso East High School. Finley is currently the President and CEO of Follow Through Productions and was a producer on the 2013 film, The Butler.
