About Michael Ballack
Michael Ballack is a retied footballer who is among the top goal scorers of the German national team. At seven years old, Ballack’s parents sent him to train with the side and he later moved to FC Karl-Marx-Stadt. Ballack signed his first professional contract in 1995 with Chemnitzer FC, and he made his professional debut on August 4, 1995. Ballack signed with Bayern Munich in 2002 in spite of Real Madrid’s interest. Ballack remained with Bayern Munich until 2006 when he joined Chelsea of the English Premier League in May 2006. He made his debut with Chelsea on July 31, 2006. Ballack has also played football internationally with for Germany. He has participated in the UEFA European Football Championship and the FIFA World Cup. Ballack announced his retirement from football on October 2, 2012. Ballack worked as a studio analyst during the Euro 2012 and the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
