About Madeline Dirado
Swimmer Madeline Dirado took home quite the haul from the 2016 Olympics. She was a member of the U.S. gold medal 4x200 meter freestyle relay team, won silver in the 400 meter individual medey and bronze in the 200 IM. Dirado also competed in the 200 backstroke final. All three individual events that she competed in in Rio she qualified for by placing first at the U.S. Olympic Trials. Leading up to the Games, Dirado won silver in the 400 meter IM at the 2015 World Championships. She swam collegiately at Stanford University. As a senior, she won the NCAA titles in the 200 and 400 IM. For Dirado's standout effort, she was named Pac-12 Swimmer of the Year. She graduated from Stanford in 2014 with a degree in management science and engineering.
