About Amanda Evora
Amanda Evora competed as an American pairs figure skater with Mark Ladwig at the 2010 Winter Olympics. A second place finish at the U.S. National Championships that year propelled them to Vancouver where they ended up placing a country-best tenth. Evora also paired with Ladwig to win silver at the U.S. Championships in 2011 and a bronze in 2012. The duo was noted for their long partnership that spanned a decade. Evora retired from competition in 2012. Being a Filipino-American, she was invited by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to an honorary luncheon for the President of the Philippines, Benigno S. Aquino III. Evora also graduated from the University of South Florida in 2012 and currently works in nearby Sarasota. She also continues to teach skating part-time.
