About Alexandre Bilodeau
Alexandre Bilodeau is a two time Olympic gold medalist in alpine skiing. When he captured the gold in men’s moguls at the 2010 Games in Vancouver, he became the first Canadian to medal on home soil. Bilodeau followed that in 2014 up by being the first Olympian to ever defend a gold medal in any freestyle skiing event. He is also a three time World Champion in dual moguls. His 48 World Cup medals are the most won by a Canadian. Bilodeau is now retired from skiing and pursuing an accounting career. He lists his brother, Frederic, as one of his heroes. After being diagnosed with cerebral palsy, Frederic was told he would not be able to walk by age 12, but at 28, he is still walking. Bilodeau now supports several cerebral palsy foundations in Canada. He is also an ambassador for the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation, which promotes the importance of aquatic safety.
