Bode Miller

Bode Miller is a decorated Olympic skier from New Hampshire, and grew up on the slopes of Franconia.  He’d eventually go on to attend Carrasbassett Valley Academy in Maine, where he sharpened his skills on the slopes and became one of the top young skiers in the world.  Miller burst onto the scene at age 18 and became known for his reckless style on the slopes, often risking injury to complete some of the best runs in history.  In 1998 Miller made his Olympic debut and competed in the Giant Slalom and Slalom events.  Four years later he put his name on the map and won two Silver medals in the giant slalom and combined events at the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics.  The following year he won two Gold medals in the Giant Slalom and Combined events and a silver medal in the Super-G at the World Championships.  He’d follow that up by winning two more golds at the 2005 World Championships.  In 2010 Miller returned to the Olympic scene by winning a Gold medal in the Super combined, silver medal in the Super-G and bronze medal in the Downhill event.  However, he was not done, he’d follow that up by winning a bronze in the Super-G at the 2014 Sochi Olympics.  Miller has been one of the top competitors in the world over the last 16 years, and continues to impress every time he hits the slopes.
