About Luke Rockhold
Luke Rockhold is one of the best middleweight mixed martial artists in the world. Rockhold is a former Strikeforce Middleweight Champion and currently competes in the UFC. He has only two professional losses. Rockhold lost his debut UFC fight in 2013 to Vitor Belfort, but has bounced back nicely since then. In Strikeforce, he was a perfect 9-0 and defended his middleweight title twice before Zuffa, the UFC ‘s parent company, absorbed the organization. Rockhold got his first exposure to martial arts with judo training at six years old. He started practicing jiu-jitsu after a brief wrestling stint at a community college. The Rockhold family is very athletic. Brother Luke is a professional surfer and father Steve was a professional basketball player in Europe. Rockhold is from Santa Cruz, California.
