Lisa Salters

Lisa Salters earned her bachelor’s degree broadcast journalism from Penn State University in 1988.  While at Penn State she played basketball for the Nittany Lions from 1986 to 1987 and was a valuable contributor at the point guard position.  After graduation she signed on as a reporter with WBAL-TV from 1988 to 1995.  Since joining ESPN and ABC in 2000 she has reported on a wide variety of stories from sports, to war and politics.  In the world of sports she has covered the NBA on ABC and the NFL on Monday Night Football.  She has also reported on the FIFA World Cup, the 2004 and 2006 Olympic games and on both men’s and women’s college basketball.  In the world of international affairs she has covered the Iraq War and controversies in the Middle East and tied them both into sports, extending her journalist reach during reports on ESPN’s Outside the Lines.  For ABC News she served as a contributor on World News Tonight and covered the Oklahoma City Bombing and the O.J. Simpson trial.  In 2012 Salters joined the Monday Night Football team as a full-time sideline reporter.
