About Kevin Keatts
Kevin Keatts is the head men's basketball coach at UNC Wilmington. He has had great success on continuing the progress started by Buzz Peterson at the program. Under Keatts leadership, the Seahawks won back-to-back regular season championships in the Colonial Athletic Association. As winner of the CAA's conference tournament in 2016, they also got a bid into the NCAA Tournament. In each of his first two seasons, Keatts was named CAA Coach of the Year as well. Prior to arriving in Wilmington, he was tutled by Rick Pitino as an assistant coach at Louisville. Keatts was a part of the coaching staff that won a national title with the Cardinals in 2013. Before moving up to the collegiate ranks, he was the longtime head coach at the basketball prep school powerhouse, Hargrave Military Academy. Between head coaching stints at Hargrave, Keatts was also an assistant at Marshall.
